#14 Brittany Pruess: How to Live a Life Aligned with Your Values

September 24, 2018

Brittany Pruess created a Lifestyle & Design Consulting business from her love of psychology, creative expression, and helping others find alignment with their true priorities. In this episode, we talk about how Brittany practices what she teaches other women, and how she lives a life that is truly in line with her values. Brittany doesn’t allow society to define how she lives and has created a life that reflects what’s important to her.

You’ll learn how Brittany helps her clients start living a life more in line with their value systems, and how you can move forward in your life knowing you’re better equipped to make decisions for your own life. This episode will leave you feeling motivated to dig a little deeper and start living a life in alignment with who you are. I can’t wait for you to hear more; listen to the full episode below!

In this episode, you’ll hear things like:

  • How to use creative expression to allow your emotions to guide you
  • How to keep others’ opinions from getting in the way of your value system
  • How to create white space in your calendar and with your things to allow space for what’s really important in your life

Favorite Quotes from Brittany:

  • “There’s nothing I cherish more than the connection I’m able to have meeting with women one on one.”
  • “Asking the right questions is one of the biggest things to help you navigate what’s really important to you.”
  • “When did you feel your strongest? When did you feel your best? That usually signifies a good value structure.”
  • “What’s always been important to you? At your core, there’s something internal there that navigates and creates a compass for your life.”
  • “When you’re going against your values, there is a visceral response that, ‘this isn’t right.’”

A few questions I ask Brittany:

  1. What advice would you give someone who is trying to define their values?
  2. Have you noticed that your values have changed with different seasons in your life or have they stayed the same?
  3. Do you have a first business you can remember starting as a kid?
